EXPORAMA SHOW proudly announces that this year's General Assembly and Congress of EFAPCO (European Federation of the Associations of Professional Congress Organizers) will be held alongside EXPORAMA SHOW, at HELEXPO PALACE Exhibition and Congress Centre.
During last year's General Assembly and Congress that was held in Madrid, EFAPCO announced that the 2006 edition would be held in Athens, Greece.
It was instantly evident that the happy coincidence that brought together - timewise and spacewise - the two events created a particularly favourable environment and significant perspectives for dynamic future synergies.
EFAPCO is already one of the international associations that support EXPORAMA SHOW, while EXPORAMA Crossmedia are a supporting member of the European Federation of Professional Congress Organizers.
In this framework, Mr. Zacharias Kaplanidis, Secretary General of EFAPCO, and Mr. Chris Antypas, Head of EXPORAMA SHOW, examined the possibility of collaboration and came to the conclusion that the concurrent organization of the two events under the same roof would create a powerful attraction pole for the international exhibition and conference community, supporting at the same time the objectives of both events.
Referring to this collaboration and EFAPCO's support to EXPORAMA SHOW, Mr. Kaplanidis stated:
"The simultaneous organization of the 2nd General Assembly and Congress of EFAPCO and EXPORAMA SHOW trade fair is an extremely happy coincidence.
EFAPCO supports and is supported by all major international industry exhibitions (IMEX, EIBTM, CONFEX, BTC and others). In this context, the Federation supports the successful organization of EXPORAMA SHOW, since we are convinced that this seminar exhibition can add to the industry of professional events in Europe.
We are happy to support this initiative and we consider that the parallel organization of EFAPCO's assembly and congress with EXPORAMA SHOW in the same venue, HELEXPO PALACE Exhibition and Conference Centre, will create an important and integral event for MICE industry".
According to Mr. Kaplanidis, this year's general assembly and congress of EFAPCO is expected to attract approximately 300 PCOs and Events industry professionals. Over 200 of them will come from Europe, as well as Mediterranean and Near East countries.

EXPORAMA SHOW will take place at the HELEXPO PALACE Exhibition and Conference Centre, in Athens, from December 8 to 11 and is organized by EXPORAMA CROSSMEDIA (EXHIBIT Magazine and EXPORAMA.com international portal).
